The case for telecoms.si
In short. telecoms.si pairs a core industry keyword with the extension that now reads as "Super Intelligence". It is priced at £5,000, an early-stage price for a name that would cost considerably more if SI branding follows the path .ai took.
1. Why .si now means Super Intelligence
.si is Slovenia's country-code domain and is open to registrants worldwide. On 29 September 2026, a US executive order directed federal agencies to use "Super Intelligence" and "SI" in place of "artificial intelligence". The same week, Anthropic, Google, Meta, OpenAI, Nvidia and xAI signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, and Nvidia's Jensen Huang described data centres as "SI factories".
This mirrors how .ai (Anguilla's country code) became the default extension for AI companies once "AI" became the standard term for the field.
2. Why the keyword matters
Telecoms is one of the industries most affected by SI: autonomous networks, AI-native radio access, Open RAN intelligence, customer operations, fraud prevention and edge compute (see How Super Intelligence is changing telecoms). "Telecoms" is the standard term for the industry in the UK, Europe and much of the world, and it reads naturally with the extension: telecoms SI.
3. Likely uses
- Brand for a startup building SI for telecom networks or carriers
- Product or campaign site for a vendor or operator's SI line
- Publication, newsletter or research hub covering SI in telecoms
- Conference or community site for telecom SI professionals
- Redirect or defensive registration for an established telecom brand
4. How the price compares
Keyword .ai domains rose sharply in value once AI branding became mainstream, with premium one-word .ai names selling in the six and seven figures. At £5,000, telecoms.si is priced for the early stage of SI adoption rather than its potential peak, which is when early buyers of .ai names secured the best value.
The .si market is already moving. Registrations jumped about 13x in September 2026 (46,066 new names, versus 3,515 in August, per Register.si). Reported sales include recursive.si ($20,000, bought by Recursive Superintelligence, valued at $4.65bn), otherwise.si ($18,888) and military.si ($1,795). See the .si domain rush of 2026.
5. Honest risks
A fair assessment includes the downsides:
- Adoption is early. The executive order applies to federal agencies. Major labs signed an accord with "Super Intelligence" in its title, but have not yet renamed their products to SI.
- Country-code policy. .si is administered by Slovenia's registry, which sets its own rules and pricing.
- Plural keyword. "Telecoms" is the standard UK/European form; some US buyers may prefer "telecom".
6. Buying process
- Email marley@mulched.ai to buy at £5,000, or make an offer.
- Payment through a trusted escrow service (e.g. Escrow.com) on request.
- Registrar transfer with authorisation code once payment clears.
